چکیده
Abstract. South Asian vegetation provides essential ecosystem services to the 1.7 billion inhabitants living in region. However, biodiversity and are threatened by climate land-use change. Understanding assessing how ecosystems respond simultaneous increases atmospheric CO2 future change is of vital importance avoid undesired Failed reaction increasing will likely have severe consequences for humankind. Here, we used adaptive dynamic global model version 2 (aDGVM2) simulate dynamics Asia under RCP4.5 RCP8.5, explored presence or absence fertilization influences responses Simulated both representative concentration pathways (RCPs) without effects showed a decrease tree dominance biomass, whereas simulations with an increase canopy cover, height biome-specific evapotranspiration end 21st century. The predicted changes aboveground biomass cover triggered transition towards tree-dominated biomes. We found that savanna regions at high risk woody encroachment transitioning into forest. also transitions deciduous forest evergreen mountain regions. Vegetation types using C3 photosynthetic pathway were not saturated current concentrations, simulated strong effect rising CO2. Hence, region has potential remain carbon sink. Projections bioclimatic envelopes biomes need adjustments account shifts caused elevated results our study help understand regional climate–vegetation interactions can support development strategies preserve

Modeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios
Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...
متن کاملForecasting the Future Risk of Barmah Forest Virus Disease under Climate Change Scenarios in Queensland, Australia
BACKGROUND Mosquito-borne diseases are climate sensitive and there has been increasing concern over the impact of climate change on future disease risk. This paper projected the potential future risk of Barmah Forest virus (BFV) disease under climate change scenarios in Queensland, Australia. METHODS/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS We obtained data on notified BFV cases, climate (maximum and minimum tempe...
متن کاملPrediction of Climate Change in Western of Iran using Downscaling of HadCM3 Model under Different Scenarios
Abstract Considering that water resources are at risk from climate change, the study of temperature and precipitation changes in the coming years can lead to droughts such as droughts, sudden floods, high evaporation and environmental degradation. To this end, global climate models (GCMs) are designed to assess climate change. The outputs of these models have low spatial accuracy. In order ...
